Since catching him a few weeks ago with everyone’s favourite lesbian twins TEGAN & SARA, i have not stopped listening to this guy. He’s a rapper from the US of A and i’ll just say now – he stole the show. without a doubt.

but saywhatnow? RAPPER? what is this nonsense?! i hear you screaming. and if i didn’t know any better, i’d be agreeing with you. I think we can all agree rap isn’t in my most favourite genres list. But trust me, this is not that awful rap about bitches and bling and all that shit (which no doubt has its place..somewhere). this is quality.

stuck on repeat; foals

I will come clean to you all, i only heard FOALS for the first time not that long ago. I don’t remember when it was, but SADLY it wasn’t when they first emerged onto the scene back in 2008. But who cares, the point is they are excellent and coincidentally have a new album coming out very soon.

CUE EXCITEMENT! says the one who only bought their album a few months ago. antidotes is a pretty impressive first album i must say, and the only reason i haven’t brought it up sooner was because it needed to sink in, absorb into my mindtank.

stuck on repeat; two door cinema club

so it’s only the second month of the year, but already album of the year predictions are flying. SURFER BLOOD are most definitely a shoe-in, the hype alone serves to insure them a top spot. But there are rumour a-plenty surrounding this here band; TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB.

perhaps you’ve had your head under a rock of late, but triple j, rage and even (sigh) video hits have got on board the TDCC (oh yes, abbreviations can’t even be escaped here!) train with their first single I CAN TALK. it’s INSANELY catchy. in fact, it might be one of the most frantic and crazed tracks i’ve heard for quite some time. this is, of course, a good thing.
